Newby Wyke's New Ales:
HMS Nelson - Our 2013 St Georges beer ABV 4.7% this abv is significant as Nelson was killed at Trafalgar at the age of 47. Black Squall - At 4.6% ABV returns after a 5 year break. Still full of chocolate and hops. Inspector Ronaldsway - Our new beer brewed with John Bryan of Oakham Ales ( we have been doing these beers under the NEW-K-HAM brand for Ten years) and this will be the last one with the Portland Bill range, next year it will be Captain Pug Wash. Any way the tasting notes are as follows; Soft hop and fruit aroma. Initial taste of hops then a rich malty back ground softens into a sweet CHERRY fruit finish. White Sea - 5.2% ABV returns for the long hot days. Chesapeake & HMS Shannon - Available from May to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the battle between the USS CHESAPEAKE and H.M.S. SHANNON in the 1812 - 1814 war with the U.S. This battle happened on the 1st June 1813 and lasted 11 minutes. In that 11 minutes of action more men were killed or injured than in the battle of Trafalgar between Nelson's and Villeneuve's ships..
